Two Decades Strong

Bluegrass Academy Childcare was founded in Louisville in 2004 by Kandi Alvey and Beckie Hoffman with a shared belief. They believed that every single child deserves a safe, well-nurturing place to learn, discover, and grow. We started with one center and a clear purpose, and over the past 20 years, that family-oriented purpose has remained exactly the same.

Today, we operate four distinct community-oriented campuses across Louisville and Mt. Washington. Our network is supported by a dedicated team of more than 100 trained early education professionals. To provide the highest tier of quality care in Kentucky, our classrooms are fully supported by professional nurses, behavioral therapists, and education specialists who visit our locations regularly.

Our Philosophy & Commitment to Welfare

We know that learning happens naturally when children feel completely safe, loved, and celebrated. Our approach balances early educational concepts with child-led play, physical movement, and sensory discovery.

To protect the welfare and development of our children, we conduct official Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQs) for all children within the first 45 days of enrollment, and complete home visits within the first 45 days for our 0-to-3 year old group. This helps our education specialists partner intimately with your family, ensuring no child ever falls through the cracks, and every milestone is honored.
